My first blog on my new look website is a collaboration between one of my favourite photographers, Paula Donnelly. Along with a selection of fantastic local suppliers, we worked together to create an authentic rustic look and some spring time inspirational photography.
Paula had already found a gem of a location (Old Rectory, Kilyman) to create the ideal backdrop for this session and we spent a few weeks over emails gathering thoughts, ideas and sourcing local talent to make it happen.
A styled shoot is a great way for photographers and videographers to work on new ideas and techniques and with the support of the suppliers we had lots to work with. To make sure we got through the set ups that we wanted in the time that we had, I was assisted by my regular 2nd Camera operator Peter Allen, and Paula was accompanied by Julie McKernan. The styled shoot was carried out in March, which was the perfect time of the year to get the creativity flowing before the busy spring/summer weddings.
Our Models, Lucy and Carrie-Ann were dressed and prepared by Indie Grace Bridal, Beauty by Donna, and Orlas Hair Salon. Richard was kitted out by Tom Morrows Menswear, Dungannon. Flowers and Styling were provided by Nettles and Petals, Milk and Honey Boutique, The Cakery NI, and Patricia Conlin Artist and Designer.
